**NO extreme Photo manipulation was done to this piece...simple adjustment of colors and contrast. Yes that is how the background ended up when I took the shot.**
It snowed in the desert today!!!! Since *Indigo76 is stranded here we decided to make the most of our time. We ventured in the snow and found ourselves at a local duck pond. These poor things appeared cold. The snow was blowing VERY hard and in all different directions. I shot this for the cab of the truck as not to get the camera all wet... I was quite amazed that I got him in this formation! Canon 40D 70-200mm Lens F/ 5.0 1/80 ISO 200 Daily DeviationGiven 2008-12-19From the suggester: "When I first saw this deviation, I was sure it was a painting. Upon further inspection, I realized instead of a painting of a duck in flight, it was a photograph of a duck in flight....IN THE MIDDLE OF A SNOWSTORM. There is something about this photo, whether it's the little pieces of snow on the duck, or the fact that the duck (to me) legitimately looks annoyed. I believe it's the best bird photograph I have ever seen, and deserves some serious daily deviation consideration." We often miss the small things in life as we rush through the day doing whatever we need to do to survive in this hectic world.
